The Mirage Pant
These pants used to be my go to. They were Maggie Barnes and were a good quality fabric. I just received a new order - they now say Catherines in the tag and the fabric is very lightweight and flimsy. Almost sheer. They do not have the body they used to have - nor the quality construction. Very disappointed - will certainly return them.

Great Pants, What Happened
Like the October 2014 comment "what happened to these pants?" I wondered the same thing. I just ordered a couple more pair because they ARE important part of my "go to" wardrobe. At this time, I cannot highly recommend to a friend, however, I would recommend them if the seam/stitching issue could be resolved or if friend was wanting a good comfortable fit...and, if like me, they are willing to see if the issue with stitch is resolved. I usually purchase several pair of these a year, but am now trying other options...not sure when I'll find anything as great as these. The ones I purchased awhile back, have not been long-lasting. Two of those 5 pairs ripped out in the crotch, and 2 others ripped about an inch above the pocket...not immediately, but much sooner than I would have expected. (My older ones from 3-4 years ago are still lasting and have not ripped). I wear a pair of these about 5 out of 7 days a week. I'm not sure any other pant truly can fit in well with my wardrobe and my comfort style, so that's why I got a couple more. (I'll be sewing my other ones if the tear is not too bad). I also would like more colors. On the good side, these pants are easy to wash, dry, and wear. Easy to use for work, a trip to the park, and going out with friends. If I have to eventually switch (if stitch/seam quality does not improve) I will miss what used to be a great pant. Thank you, Catherine's for checking this out.

What happened to these pants ?
I loved the old Mirage pant. They lasted so long that I had not purchased any in over 2 years. Several months ago I decided to replenish my supply and was sorely disappointed. Poor quality fabric, poor quality design, poor sizing (changed from the waist size pattern to 1x, 2x, etc.).
The Mirage has been the "go to" staple of my wardrobe. I would like to know why the major change (for the worse) occurred with this reliable item. PLEASE BRING BACK THE OLD STYLE, THE OLD FABRIC and the OLD FIT/SIZING !!!!!

Ok fit, Bad design
These pants are snug in the hip. They have light stretch. I had 3 pairs and all of them ripped at the seam in the crotch. They are VERY poorly made compared to other options.
