I Think It's Gorgeous
I was glad that another reviewer forewarned me about the loose dye, so that I did prewash this garment. I tumbled it just enough to shake out the wrinkles and hung it to finish drying--it dried nice and smooth. It is so beautiful that I'm willing to deal with loose dye, and that won't last forever. I wore black underwear under it, so had no problems with dye on my undies.
I too, bought the matching skirt, and I feel that the differences in color are not enough to be a problem--my two pieces blend well enough to look good together. The top did shrink a bit when I washed it, though.

Where do I begin?
This top was a huge disappointment. I purchased the matching skirt, both of which are labeled as "indigo," only to receive two pieces that are not the same shade - not even close. I might add that the fabric was extremely cheap/light-weight. The size/fit was sloppy-loose. It is headed back to the company today.

Don't waste your money
I was stupid enough to try this tunic after I wasted my money on the similar dress. The description warns about washing before wearing. Take it to heart. The dye rubs off on your fingers when you're opening the bag it came in, barely touching the garment, and cutting off the tags. I thought the design was cute enough to withstand the washing, washing, washing to get the blue dye to stabilize, but then the stitching came out. It was too late to return it, so I stitched it back up myself. I'll still work with it to get it wearable, but honestly, it isn't worth the money.
